Dr. Verena Ch. Ehrler works as a researcher in Commercial Transport at the DLR German Aerospace Centre, Institute of Transport Research. Her research is focused on the various aspects of sustainable logistics and transport chains, including physical internet and electromobility. She headed the institute’s department of commercial transport from 2010 to 2013. Since then she has focused on research projects and lecturing at university. Dr. Ehrler has been a member of the TRB A020 committee since 2012. Dr. Ehrler has a degree in management and economics from St. Gallen University, Switzerland. She worked for 15 years as strategic business development manager in logistics and supply chain management in the aviation and textile industry. Between 2007 and 2010 she wrote her doctoral theses on the topic of e-freight for air cargo at the Technical University of Berlin, and graduated in 2011 as doctor and engineer. |
