David Amble has over 25 years of experience in the marine engineering and freight transportation sectors. Mr. Amble began his career as a naval architect, designing vessels for the US Navy, US Army Corps of Engineers, and the Military Sealift Command. He also managed ship acquisition projects for the US Navy. Mr. Amble completed graduate studies in marine transportation management, and transitioned to management consulting. He has provided strategic planning consultations to US port authorities, and local, state, and national transportation departments on strategic planning, project management, asset management, organizational development, and operations and strategic planning. Since 2008, Mr. Amble has held a variety of roles at the Port of Seattle, Port of Tacoma, and the Northwest Seaport Alliance, developing container terminal facilities, marketing facilities to shippers, managing terminal leases, and developing a nascent asset management program.
