Maria Boile is Associate Professor of Ports, Maritime Transport and Logistics at the University of Piraeus, Greece and Head of Unit on Transport Economics and Environment, Air and Maritime Transport, at the Hellenic Institute for Transportation (HIT), Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). Her past experience includes serving as Associate Professor of Transportation in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Rutgers University, U.S. She was co-Director of the Freight and Maritime Program (FMP) at the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT). She was also an academic fellow in the Center for Supply Chain Management of the Rutgers School of Business. She has participated in over 60 sponsored research projects in Europe and the U.S. and has authored and co-authored over 160 technical articles. She has a Diploma in Civil (Transportation) Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. |
